    Create your account

    Sign up here: account name, e-mail and password. Free, 30 seconds, no e-mail confirmation.

    Press Play

    The game opens at muinsta.com/play/ right in your browser. The very first start loads about 60 MB (use Wi-Fi on the phone); from then on it opens in seconds.

  3. 03

    Create your hero

    Pick the server, use the same account name and password, then choose your class.

  4. 04

    On a phone, turn it sideways

    Tap to walk and attack, press and hold for a right click. A keyboard button appears when you need to type.

The game uses WebGPU, which current versions of these browsers have switched on by default. Keep your browser up to date.

Your hero goes where you go

Characters, items and levels are saved on our server, never only in your browser. Level up on the PC tonight, carry on from your phone tomorrow — same account, same hero. Clearing the browser cache only removes the downloaded game files; they come back on the next start.

Quick fixes

  • Black or white screen: update the browser and reload. On a PC, make sure hardware acceleration is on in the browser settings.
  • The page reloads on the phone: close other tabs and apps to free memory, then open the game again.
  • The first start is slow: that is the one-time download. Next time it is fast.
  • Hero stuck somewhere: log out of the game, then use Unstuck on My account or ask Support.
  • Forgot your password: visit Support. If you still know it, you can change it on My account.

Questions

01Do I need to download anything?

No. The whole game runs inside your browser tab: no client, no launcher, no installer. The first visit loads about 60 MB of game data, which your browser keeps, so the next time it starts in seconds.

02Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. Open the site in Safari or Chrome on an iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or newer and turn the phone sideways. Touch controls and an on-screen keyboard for chat and login are built in.

03Is it free?

Yes, completely. There is no subscription and nothing to buy to play. Power comes from playing, not from paying.

04Is my progress saved?

Always. Your heroes, items and levels are stored on our server, not in the browser. Log in from your PC tonight and from your phone tomorrow: it is the same hero.

05Which browsers can I use?

Chrome or Edge on Windows and Linux, Chrome on Mac, Safari or Chrome on iPhone and iPad. Recent Android phones with Chrome should work too. The game needs WebGPU, which these browsers have switched on by default.

06Is this the classic MU?

Yes: MU Online Season 6 with Dark Wizard, Dark Knight, Fairy Elf, Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord and Summoner all open from day one, the master skill tree, Blood Castle, Devil Square, Chaos Castle and the invasions, with fast early levels and resets at 400.
