- Who we are. MU Insta (muinsta.com) is a free MU Online fan server that runs in the browser. These rules apply to this website, the game at /play/ and our official social media accounts.
- Account data. We store your login, a secure hash of your password (never the password itself), your e-mail address if you give one, and your game data (characters, items, guild, rankings). Guest accounts store only the game data until you save them.
- Technical data. Our servers log IP addresses and request times for security and abuse prevention. For statistics we keep the country (worked out on our own server, not sent to any third party), the device type and browser, a shortened IP address, and game performance numbers (load time, FPS, disconnects).
- Cookies. An essential session cookie keeps you logged in and protects forms. A first-party cookie (
mu_src) remembers where your first visit came from (for example a search engine, an ad campaign or a social network), so we know which channels bring players. It holds no personal details. - Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). To measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram, the site loads the Meta Pixel. It tells Meta which pages were visited and when an account is created or Play is pressed, and Meta may set its own cookies (such as
_fbp). We never send your password, e-mail or game data. You can opt out by blocking third-party cookies or trackers in your browser, or by turning off ad personalisation in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings. The game works the same either way. - Social media and developer APIs. We use the X (Twitter) and TikTok developer APIs only to publish our own content (news, events, rankings, gameplay clips) on our own official accounts. We do not collect, store, analyse or sell data about X or TikTok users, and we do not use these APIs for profiling or advertising.
- Sharing. We do not sell or rent your data. We share nothing with third parties except the ad measurement described above, or when required by law.
- Retention and deletion. Account and game data are kept while the account exists. Statistics are kept in aggregated or shortened form. You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any time through the support page.
- Children. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.
- Changes. We may update this policy; the date below shows the latest version. See also our terms of use.
